Life has its headaches. Supply chain traceability shouldn't be one of them
Today, Wholechain just got even easier. We’ve streamlined where things live to support structured master data management, more scalable partner collaboration, and clearer traceability workflows.
Wholechain is always evolving to meet increasingly complex supply chain challenges. Every step that a customer takes with our team, from initial sales calls, to onboarding and hands-on support, we’re listening for ways to make Wholechain even better. And at industry events, we’re keeping an ear to the ground, learning from experts about the nitty gritty operational challenges that Wholechain can help solve.
Now we’ve put those learnings, customer feedback and forward-thinking ideas into action. We’re excited to bring you a more intuitive navigation and a suite of tools that will streamline supplier collaboration, compliance with buyer requirements, and simplify your day-to-day operations.
What’s New
1. Streamlined Navigation
The new navigation layout provides clearer separation between:
Master Data including Trade Items, Trade Partners & Locations
Traceability Events
This reduces friction and improves efficiency across daily workflows.

2. Centralized Master Data Management
Trade Items, Shared Trade Items, KDE Management, Attachments, Trade Partners, and Locations are now organized in a unified structure.
This enables:
Stronger governance of product data
Easier enforcement of standards
Cleaner configuration across your ecosystem
We’ve also expanded sharing permissions, allowing you to scope access as:
Private
Viewable
Editable
This gives teams and partners appropriate levels of control.

3. Dedicated Traceability Workspace
Events now live in their own Traceability tab.
By separating events from product master data, we’ve created a more intuitive workflow for:
Logging shipments
Managing receives
Monitoring traceability activity
This structure reduces confusion and improves scalability as operations grow more complex.

4. Enhanced Partner Collaboration
Trade Partner management has been improved to better support supplier onboarding and shared data environments.
Enterprise customers can:
Invite partners directly from Trade Partners
Share Trade Items and associated data
Control permissions at a granular level
These enhancements support more structured, policy-driven collaboration across supply chains.

Why This Matters
Traceability requirements are increasing globally. Regulatory frameworks, retailer mandates, and digital product passport initiatives are raising expectations for structured, interoperable data.
This update strengthens our customers’ ability to not only meet increasing demands and requirements, but in establishing their leadership through:
Master data governance anchored in interoperability
Traceability combined with operational efficiency
More seamless collaboration with downstream and upstream partners
These improvements to our navigation and data organization are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to enhancements that will support customers as they scale.
What’s Next
In the coming weeks, we’ll spotlight additional enhancements, including:
Expanded Label Templating and Custom Layouts
Enterprise Event Resolver capabilities
PO Tracker for shipment reconciliation
Each of these builds on the stronger foundation introduced today.
