Close the supplier data gap
Premium and Enterprise customers can now invite any supplier into Wholechain by email, and those suppliers can join for free. Once they accept, any item or location data you share shows up in their account right away, and they can start logging data for your FSMA 204 compliance the same day.
Your traceability is only as strong as the partners feeding it. Until now, getting data from suppliers outside Wholechain meant spreadsheets, email chains, and endless follow-up. This update removes two major barriers: setup friction and cost.
How email invites work
Inviting a partner takes one step on your side: enter their email address in your Wholechain Trade Partners module. Here's what happens next.
Your supplier receives an email invite from your company.
They accept and connect to your company in Wholechain.
If they already have a Wholechain account, they sign in. If not, they create a free account on the spot.
Everything you've shared with them populates immediately. Suppliers just need to add their own locations, a straightforward action that also sets the foundation for FDA FSMA 204 requirements.
If your supplier uses another EPCIS/GDST traceability provider, they can instead connect their traceability provider and start sending data directly to your Wholechain account.
That's it. Your supplier goes from inbox to connected partner in minutes.

The Supplier Portal is your Supplier's Traceability landing page - it outlines your traceability requirements and provides the tools for your suppliers to meet those requirements. It also has tools for your suppliers to share documents securely with you and contact you directly with questions.
Free accounts for your suppliers
Your suppliers never have to pay to view the master data you share with them. A free account gives them everything they need to participate in your traceability program for your FSMA 204 compliance.
With a free account, your suppliers can:
View the items and documents you share with them
Execute traceability by logging ship events on the items they handle
Send that data back to you in a consistent, structured format
Free accounts are available to suppliers who are new to Wholechain and include one connection: the invite they accept. To connect with additional Wholechain users, suppliers can upgrade to a paid plan.
Ship events built for FSMA 204

Shipping is one of the Critical Tracking Events under the FDA's Food Traceability Rule, and each shipment requires specific Key Data Elements. The new Ship Event Form walks your suppliers through every required field, so nothing gets missed.
When a supplier submits the form, Wholechain converts it into a registered traceability event in both a FSMA 204 and EPCIS compliant format. You get complete, consistent shipping records, ready if the FDA ever requests them.

As their needs grow, suppliers can explore plans that unlock even more of the platform, retaining their past data and building upon the work they’ve already done to service your FSMA 204 needs.

Start inviting your suppliers
Every supplier you connect is one less spreadsheet to chase and one step closer to full FSMA 204 compliance. Log in to Wholechain and send your first invite today.
