FAQs

+ Is this online or do I have to download software?

Wholechain® is available as a fully responsive web app which only requires an internet connection and web browser. We also offer our Wholechain® mobile app (available to download on Google Play or the App Store).

+ Can I customize the data collected in my Wholechain® records?

Yes. Wholechain® allows you to create standard and custom record templates to ensure that you collect all the data your business needs for regulatory, certification, and business requirements. You can align with multiple global data standards as well as include data specific to your business, product, and supply chain.

+ What is a business unit?

A business unit is a single distinct operational unit within your company, most commonly a distinct location but could also be a branch or distinct unit within the same location. This allows for traceability within a company from business unit to business unit, or for multiple receiving locations, like a retail chain with many locations.

Multiple business units are available on our Professional, Premium, and Enterprise plans.

+ Can I invite other users to my Wholechain® account?

Yes, you can add as many users as you like under our Professional, Premium, and Enterprise plans. Once you have logged into Wholechain®, select Settings from the side navigation. From there, select “Manage Team from the list of your business units to invite and manage team members and permissions.

+ Why does Wholechain® write my records to a blockchain?

Because blockchain is a distributed and immutable ledger, it enables stakeholders within a supply chain to view and share data from a trusted and tamper-proof source. This enables greater trust in data that is shared because once recorded it cannot later be changed.
